REVIEW THIS GAME
I've read reviews on learning curves. This is a very stressful and stressful educational process indeed. So much so that I don't even want to play anymore. But for those playing what I would call overkill, go ahead. Example: (spoiler possibly) Let's say you want to build a shower for your minions. Seems simple, right? First, you must study far enough to build it. There are also rugs which are quite popular in crafting games. Then there is a source of water to which you have to lead the snorkel, also usually. But no, it's not just that. We need an underwater pump to pump it through the pipes. Ok, but it also requires power for the pump, requires power, requires wiring and mats to assemble and operate. Ok, then when you pour water into the shower, you need to have a drain to drain the dirty water from the shower and your minions. Okay, but then you have to have some place to bring it in and a filtration system to filter out the contaminated water, otherwise it could cause problems for your minions. And, of course, all this requires more research, more carpets, more electricity, more pipes, and so on. It seems best to just let the little villi get dirty, but otherwise the germs are causing them diseases! Not a bad game, so I agreed, but for me, when the game becomes more like work than play, it's not fun for me, but you like it.
Great concept for a game that does entertain, but it even as someone who loves micromanagement the level of micromanagement required to finish this game is just way too much for me. Imagine Lemmings as a real time strategy game. It suffers for me too much from "there is really only one way to do it". Everything is a problem that ends up having a very specific very game-y solution. And at some point, even if you start figuring out what the solutions to heat buildup, or how to deal with the carbon dioxide you generate, or the fact that water cycles are always a net loss even once you have a recycling/sanitation system going, implementing the solutions feels more like work than fun after a while. Recommended only if you get actual joy out of micromanaging things.
